This Writer's Life...

Dead Simple

So I’m dusting off the blog and blowing away the cobwebs. What a poor neglected thing my blog is. I think all of you follow me on Facebook and/or Twitter so you haven’t missed anything. For those of you who don’t receive my somewhat infrequent newsletter (and why wouldn’t you?), I wanted to share the cover for Dead Simple. Ta-da!

What do you think? I love it. It’s definitely one of my favourites. …

I'm on sale!

My publisher is having a sale and PRESUMED DEAD, the first Dylan Scott mystery, is only 99 cents through all retailers in the US. In the UK, on Amazon at least, it's only 37 pence. Much more of this and I'll have to pay you to read it. :)

Sale ends September 26th. To see which other mysteries are included in the sale, click here.

Unleashed!

Usually, when I have a new release, I'm in an excited 'Yay, another book out there' frame of mind. You're right. Usually, I hate my books - mainly, I think, because they never resemble the idea for The Greatest Novel Ever Written that I had before I typed out those two words: Chapter One. …

Slowly getting back to normal

When solicitors tell you less than 24 hours before you're due to move that you're not moving after all, life gets very stressful. By then, everyone in the chain had arranged for broadband in their new homes, redirection of their mail, etc., etc. …

The cover reveal...

I've had the most wonderful emails from readers this week. Mail from readers is the best thing ever for an author - well, apart from gigantic royalty payments, obviously ;) - and this week has included one email from a woman who reads so much and so quickly that she wore out her first Kindle (yay!), and another email from a fellow Leonard Cohen fan who informed me she'd read all my books and pre-ordered. …

Getting to Know … Julie Moffett

Friday's here again. Good grief. How did that happen? Hmm. I hope you've all achieved more than I have this week. Shirley must try harder. A lot harder…

The weeks are flying by and already, it's time to say goodbye to this Getting To Know series of blog posts. The final guest is a very special one though and I hope you'll give Julie Moffett a warm welcome.

Welcome to the blog, Julie! …
