I'm taking a holiday. Great, eh? Well, when I say holiday what I really mean is that my home is being invaded by family. I'll be busy wining and dining them, showing them the sights, making believe my house is always this immaculate ... I'm sure you get the picture.
Although I won't be posting to this blog for a couple of weeks, and any responses to emails will be delayed (please bear with me), I shall be keeping up with Twitter and Facebook. What? You didn't expect me to cope without my daily fix, did you? Oh no. In fact, I'm going to have some fun on Twitter.
As I may have mentioned, Dead Silent releases on August 22 and I'm going to try and get the Twitter hashtag #DeadSilent trending. And why not? I see #MrBean is trending. Why should he grab all the limelight? I'm going to be telling people what I'm keeping silent about. (Does that make sense?) For instance, I'll post something like I can't tell you how big last night's gin and tonic was #DeadSilent (and, seriously, I can't). I'd love it if you wanted to join in. Just mention me (@Shirley_Wells) and/or the #DeadSilent hashtag, and I'll get to see it. If, for example, you'd been up to no good, you could say I'm not telling you which bank I robbed #DeadSilent or maybe I'm not saying who ate all the chocolate biscuits #DeadSilent. Yes, folks, I want to know your secrets but I don't want you getting into trouble. I'm good like that. So please join in. Let's take over Twitter!
