Colour me happy

There's a reason I haven't been updating this blog as regularly as I was. My website/blog software only runs on a Mac computer and, because my MacBook died, only my Mac desktop computer has been available. That sits in my lovely office where I used to spend most of my time. However, since the puppy arrived, I've been spending my time downstairs where I can keep a closer eye on him. Downstairs, because my MacBook died (did I mention that?), I've been reduced to using a Windows laptop.

Words cannot express how much I hate Windows. I loathe it. I hate switching the machine on and receiving 239 messages telling me how great it is and what it's busy doing. I hate the fact that a program will suddenly crash. I hate the look of it. I hate everything about Windows.

I had to get a new MacBook, didn't I? Yes. I thought so too.

I went for the MacBook Air. It arrived yesterday and it's gorgeous. Well, it would be. I switched it on, transferred everything - programs, documents, settings, even my desktop wallpaper - from my desktop Mac in a matter of minutes and started working on it. Oh, joy! You know what Apple say: It just works. And they're right. It just works! My desktop, my iPad, iPhone and my lovely new MacBook Air all working wonderfully well together. Bliss..

So yes, colour me happy. (And broke.)

We're divided in this house. Nick loves Windows and I loathe everything about it. What about you? Are you a Windows or a Mac person?

Remember, I have no more excuses for not updating this blog now...
