Bring on the dogs … it's time to party!

There's a lot to celebrate this weekend. It's Mother's Day on Sunday here in the UK. My mother died several years ago and the day barely registers with me. In fact, I'd forgotten all about this year until my lovely daughter - well, let's just say that she wants her mum on calorie overload and who am I to deny her? I have the most gorgeous, gorgeous chocolates. I mean really scrummy gorgeous. Yum! Did I say how much I love my daughter?

Happy Mother's Day to all you mums out there.

To enjoy Mother's Day, you first have to survive tomorrow's St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Paddy is the best, isn't he? St. George is a bit stuffy and any celebrations tend to involve coyly waving a flag or watching a reenactment. Paddy, on the other hand, knows how to party. Hell, yes. Even better, you don't have to be Irish to join in. So long as you're wearing a silly green hat and drinking copious amounts of the black stuff, you're welcome. That's my sort of saint.

Have a great weekend, all! Eat, drink and be merry.

(And enjoy this wonderful St. Patrick's Day video from the awesome Guinness people.)
