An anniversary

This time last year, I opened a card from my sister and watched the colour drain from hubby's face as he read the words: "Happy Anniversary". The look of shock was still on his face as he muttered something about needing to go out. Yup, he'd forgotten our anniversary (he actually claims he hadn't forgotten it, he'd simply forgotten to do anything about it ... um, right). He suffered for that. Believe me, he suffered.

Yesterday, I opened a card from my sister...

I'm sure you can guess that I'd completely forgotten our anniversary. Hubby who hadn't forgotten (he wouldn't have dared) is now looking very smug.

Anyway, yes, it's happy anniversary to us both. I'd like to say I shall be spending the day being suitably pampered but I have a dental appointment which sort of spoils the whole effect. I'm hoping my dentist will have a quick look and declare the problem I had a couple of weeks ago cured. I'm hoping...

There is good news though. I've discovered that it's Chocolate Week in the UK. That's Chocolate Week. A whole week. All the details are here.

Right, I'm off to the dentist. Wish me luck!
