A New Year, A New Me?

Well, no. Not really. I'd vowed to update this blog regularly and it's already the 7th of January and I've only just thought about it. Bad me. It's lucky I hadn't vowed to do anything really stupid like go on a diet…

t hope you're all settling into 2014 and finding it to your satisfaction. Santa brought me a new Kindle (the Paperwhite) for Christmas so I'm now reading lots of books on that instead of the iPad. I love my iPad but found it a little too heavy to hold in bed at night (I'm getting weak in my old age) and the Kindle fits in my handbag nice and snugly.

Before I forget, my publisher has reduced the price of my Jill and Max books, all five of them, on Amazon so for those of you with Kindles, this is the time to grab a copy. They're currently priced at 84p in the UK and $1.38 in the US. I'm not sure if this is a one-off one-day promotion or if it will last a while. Fingers crossed it lasts throughout January. The books were published in the following order: Into the Shadows, A Darker Side, Where Petals Fall, The Broken Circle and Shades of Evil and you can find details on my Books page.

In other news, Fatal Vengeance is no longer going to be called Fatal Vengeance. We're all having a rethink and, although I haven't had official confirmation from my publisher, I think it will be called Dead End. Watch this space! Whatever it's finally called, it will be coming to a device near you in July.

Meanwhile, I'm hard at work (ha!) on the next Dylan Scott novel, Dead Simple. Trying to fit in time to write is proving tricky at the moment. Yesterday, I had a chap come to fix our shower - again. (He's coming again next Monday to fit a new controller. Sigh.) This morning I had to go for a routine blood test (yes, I'm still feeling faint) and tomorrow I have to pay my dentist a visit. I have to say that's not how I planned to start the year!

How's the year treating you so far? Well, I hope. Stay safe, dry and warm, everyone!
